The Southern New England Chapter of SWCS held their winter meeting in Vernon, CT on February 15, 2001. 140+ registrants spent a day devoted to strategies for managing invasive plants. Speakers and poster displays covered early detection of non-native invasive plants, general guidelines for taking action, specific control strategies, and native plant alternatives. Representatives from state and regional invasive plant coalitions were on hand with educational materials and networking opportunities. The afternoon concluded with an interactive forum during which many specific questions were asked and answered.
