The program began with a guided tour of the museum highlighting 18,000 years of natural and cultural history of the region in which the Pequots make their home. It concluded with an historical film about the clash between the Pequots and the European colonial powers. It was followed by a lunch in the museum cafeteria and a business meeting at which the results of the chapter elections were announced. Eva Szigeti was re-elected as Vice-President and Jewel MacKenzie was welcomed to the board as the new Connecticut Director. The chapter still seeks a president-elect and secretary.
The event was coordinated by our outgoing
Connecticut Director, Walter Smith, walter.smith@ct.usda.gov
